In Australia, Brazin Limited reports that it has now signed up over 1.1 million members in its retail customer loyalty programme, Pulse.

The programme, carrying the tag line "Keep your Pulse racing", has been in the market since October 2004, and uses the Visible Results GraphiCard loyalty and CRM platform.

Pulse covers five Brazin brands (Virgin Entertainment, HMV, Sanity, dusk and BNT) and is available at 500 retail outlets nationwide.

Customers are invited to join the programme at all participating brand stores, thereafter earning one point for every Aus$1 spent.

Once a member has accumulated 100 points they are rewarded at the point of sale with a Aus$5 voucher that can be redeemed during their next purchase with any participating brand.

Members also benefit from instant prizes, monthly major prizes, and a variety of other membership privileges.

Brazin says that its marketers have, for the first time, been able to effectively segment customers to identify products that resonate with particular profiles, across all five brands, and to identify Brazin's most profitable customers.
